Adaptations
One of the Eastern Box Turtle's adaptations is its long claws which help it dig holes to find food and lay eggs. Another one is its plastron, which is a flap on its underside that closes when the turtle goes into its shell, making it hard for predators to get to it. Some of the Box Turtle's predators are the Red Fox, Common Raccoon, and Eastern Hognose Snake.
